MEET THE ADVISORS

Dr. O'Toole received her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a double major in political science and psychology, from the University of Michigan and then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame. She was a practicing civil litigator in Southern California for several years when she decided to go back to school and earn her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Professor Nick Carbonaro has a story most students here at Long Beach City College can relate to. Having started his private sector career at Costco Wholesale as a part-time employee while being a full-time LBCC student in 2004, Mr. C moved into management for the warehouse giant upon his graduation in 2008 from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. While being in management at Costco, Mr. C earned his MBA from California State University, Fullerton. Prior to becoming an Assistant Professor at LBCC, Mr. C was a member of the adjunct faculty at LBCC, Cerritos College as well as El Camino College. He has taught many different business subjects but currently teaches Digital and Social Media, General Business, Marketing, and Personal Finance.
